And the fact it’s a He-Man figure is all the sweeter. It brings me back to my misspent Xevoz “youth”. I mean, I get to have fun with all my toys – we call those “reviews” – but there is something even more fun about part swapping. Maybe I’ve just gone too long without buying LEGOs (I won’t let myself, that stuff’s addictive!), but I love being able to build with my toys – and getting to have fun with a 6” figure like that is rare. Overall, Modulok could have a few improvements, like the engineering on the hips being handled more carefully or the sculpt taking the need for that engineering into account, but the final product is particularly satisfactory. It’s a great piece, but again, a little soft for my tastes. Just to show how little attention I paid to the vintage Modulok, I didn’t know his two pistols could form a rifle (they’re packed individually in the tray) so Mantenna is making the same face I made on when I figure it out. Modulok includes one accessory that’s not himself: a rifle that splits into two pieces. ![]() I figure the amount of paint that’s going to flake off will eventually stop, but right now it’s pretty heavy. It gets everywhere! Seriously, I had to sweep out the photo booth and my desk after playing with him. The only issue I had is the paint on the ball-joints. I had no issues despite the massive number of paint apps. The paintwork on Modulok was pretty sharp. ![]() I loved that (Though I still secretly wish Mattel could’ve upped their game here and gone for all the joints to include the interchangeable system. Whew! You get all that? The ball-jointed knees were probably the nicest surprise. There are 2 adventures in this game, with only the first adventure playable in the shareware version. In addition to the eighteen ball & socket ports, Modulok also features four ball-jointed shoulders, four bicep swivels, four wrist swivels, ab crunch, a waist swivel, six ball-jointed hips, six thigh swivels, six ball-jointed knees, and six hinged ankles. How will his fate turn out Will he manage to get back to his original size He has a long dangerous way to go. It doubled the default game speed, added joystick support, changed some of the voices and sound effects, made three rooms easier and added a save point to another. Microman is an arcade adventure game about laboratory worker who was reduced to an ant size. In 1999, version 2.0 was released for Win32. Version 1.5 added background music and save points, improved the sound effects and allowed multiple sounds to play simultaneously, allowed MicroMan to have more shots on the screen at a time, made the animation even smoother, and made three rooms much easier. There are platforms that will only move when MicroMan is standing on them, and platforms that will only move when he isn't standing on them. Changes from the demo include the addition of springboards, invisible platforms, and new enemies. ![]() It features a variety of mechanical enemies, three weapon upgrades, a super jump ability and a shield, moving platforms, platforms that fade in and out of existence, transporters, a mirror room where MicroMan is mirrored vertically and horizontally, and a total of 54 rooms and three bottomless pits. The hero, Bob Jones, was shrunk to micron size as part of an experiment, and is now trapped in a computer full of unfriendly robots. The Adventures of MicroMan is a complete game built with Brian Goble's Windows Animation Package, based on an earlier playable demo called MicroMan.
